Bahrain telecom company announced the day before Batelco, in order to meet the demand of regional bandwidth growth, will build a connection to all Gulf countries land cable system BGN.
Bahrain Telecom sets up BGN land optical cable system to connect all Gulf countries
According to the introduction, this BGN fiber optic cable system will connect all Gulf countries in the Gulf of Arabia, the design capacity of up to 8.8Tbps, in order to further improve the bandwidth capacity, providing high-definition services for regional users.
Bahrain Telecom global affairs chief Adel Al-Daylami said, "BGN land cable system is easy to add the most reliable submarine cable systems under attack, and high capacity, short path, Gulf cable system of the minimum delay."
According to the plan, the 1400 km long land cable system will by Bahrain telecom management operations, the future will also access regional submarine cable system to obtain the international Internet connection to Europe, Asia, Africa and other regions.
